My Personal Review On Graco Travel Lite Crib with Bassinet

I LOVE !!!!! Pros: The weight limit is higher than most bassinets and pack and play with the bassinet insert. Most only go up to 15 pounds. This is 30 I think. My baby weighed 8 lbs 10 oz at birth. She was able to use up to 8 months. It is very strong, not weak at all. Well done. Even after she could't use it as a cot again, I took it with us when we travel and she was able to sleep on it to configure it as a playpen. He used it like this until 2 years of age. The price is more affordable than most cribs and playpens. It folds great, comes with case. Easy to clean and clean, etc.

Cons: The only one I could think is that I could only find the sheet in the stores they sell. As babies R Us.

Graco Travel System

Graco is the world renown for their innovative products, stylish designs and great value. One of Graco's greatest innovations was the travel system. Combining an interlocking stroller, infant car seat and car seat base the Graco Travel System allowed parents to transport a sleeping baby from stroller to car without having to take them out of their safety harness. The Graco travel system also allowed for new parents to buy their needed gear all in one shot with the peace of mind that the different parts would all work in sync and match style-wise.

The Graco travel system comes with one of several infant car seats. The Snug Ride seat fits infants from 5 to 22lbs and 29 inches long. For a little bit more the Snug Ride 32 fits infants up to 32lbs and 32 inches long. Finally, the Infant Safe seat holds infants from 5 to 30lbs. All are built to the highest safety standards, constructed from EPS shock absorbing material for the best impact protection. Depending on th e Graco travel system, you may have an option on which seat you get.

Light Weight Graco Travel Systems

MetroLite $239.99: At only 25.6lbs total you'll be shocked at the amount features are packed into this Graco travel system. The parent storage tray with cup holders, multi- position reclining seat, child's tray, lockable swivel font wheels and great suspension will all make you think you bought a more expensive, full size stroller.

Lite Rider $159.99: A great Graco travel system for the value; you get many features found on more expensive strollers. A one hand fold, child and parent's tray, easy to reach drop down basket and reclining seat all make life easier for you. Besides not having all the bells and whistles, the Alano falls short on its color options. Graco only makes one color pattern for the Lite Rider Graco travel system

Alano $179.99: Get the best in design and style with this value Graco travel system. The one hand folding system breaks the stroller down into an upright position. No bending needed to transport! Sturdy construction, a host of convenient features and a great neutral stylish design make this stroller a must have.

Full Size Graco Travel Systems

Quattro Tour and Quattro Tour Deluxe $249.99/$269.99: The flagship of the Graco travel system line up, the Quattro Tour is loaded from top to bottom with convenient features and great construction. The aluminum frame, lockable front swivel wheels and easy one touch brakes make for a durable, easily maneuverable and safe stroller. The one hand gravity fold breaks the stroller down with only one touch from you. The deluxe parent tray is great for personal storage or bottle of water while you will love the large under seat storage basket. This Graco travel system is sold in two models. The Deluxe version comes with the Snug Ride 32, while the regular version comes with the Snug Ride infant seat. The Quatt ro Tour and Quattro Tour Deluxe are hands down the best on the market.

Glider $179.99: Lighter and cheaper than the Quattro Tour models, the Glider is a great travel system for the price. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of its bigger sibling, it's still packed with convenient features like: canopy with peek-a-boo window, parent and baby trays, and large storage basket.

Vie4 $209.99: Stylish and packed with great options like the stand up folding system the Vie4 is a great travel system for the price. If the Quattro Tour models aren't for you, then I suggest you take a look at the Vie4. One downfall of the Vie 4 Graco travel system is that it's only available in two color choices.

Spree $169.97: Sold only as a Graco travel system, the Spree comes only with the Snug Ride Car seat. It€s well equipped for the price and while you don't get all of the convenient features of other travel systems, the price more than makes up f or it. If you're on a budget the Spree is the way to go.

Stylus $189.99: This hard to find Graco travel system is not based completely on the Mosaic stroller, but has a lot of the same style notes. Its sleek design combines with a host of convenient features to make for a nice alternative to the larger strollers in its class. Complete with Snug Ride car seat this stroller is a nice addition to the Graco travel system family.

The highest form of flattery is imitation and ever since Graco came out with their travel systems other stroller manufacturers have been trying to catch up. This genius innovation from Graco is now common place in the market, but the originators are still the best out there.

Go Cruising!

There is definitely something about watching the mainland disappear from view that melts away one€s stresses.

Follow our cruise planning tips and you€ll soon be watching the mainland disappear from sight along with all your stress. Read on and set sail for new horizons.

Tips for planning your Cruise:

Save time by consulting the experts

With the expanding market and increased competition, cruise companies are consistently offering discounted rates and special deals you can enjoy maximum pleasure for minimum offer especially if you plan and book ahead. Things can get a little confusing, that€s why it€s best to get the advice of an expert € your Flight Shop travel consultant can save you a lot of time in research by offering the right cruise to suit your needs. Some of the tricky areas we can assist in include: early booking or group discounts, last minute specials, choosing the right cabin, options for children and much more.

The journey or the destination?

With so many options for cruising these days, it€s important you know exactly what you are expecting from your cruise. Are you after a floating relaxation tour with the occasional port stop or an activity packed experience across the continents? Do you have three days or three months? There is a cruise holiday just right for you, but you need to decide what interests you.

Consider your cabin choices

Definitely consider spending a few more dollars for a better cabin: having an outside cabin with a window, or better yet a balcony, helps makes the cruise experience much more enjoyable and helps differentiate cruising from a resort vacation.

Cover yourself

All ships have good medical facilities on-board but they are not free. So purchase the best suitable insurance to cover hospital treatment, cancellation, medical evacuation and any activities you wish to participate in while you are away. Your travel consultant can recommend the best policy based on your cruise itinerary.

Consider staying longer

Think about extending your cruise with pre and post cruise accommodation or touring options. Many cruise lines will offer land packages to compliment your cruise or you can book a separate package with your travel consultant to ensure you get the most out of your holiday.

Travelling with the family?

Most large ships have great kids Clubs and activity programs all year round, but double check first. Obtain a program guide and let the kids rate the fun before your hop on board.

Celebrate good times

If you€re celebrating a special occasion during your cruise, let your consultant know in advance. Most cruise lines will treat you to a complimentary cake and chorus of €Happy whatever€, and you can even arrange for a special private party.

Some reasons why cruising may be the best holiday option for you

Value

Nothing beats a cruise for incredible vacation savings. You visit multiple destinations and so much is included, from dining and entertainment to sports, fitness and a range of accommodation options. With so much to save, you may be tempted to make every vacation a cruise.

Variety

There are thousands of itineraries to hundreds of ports available across all 7 continents, so you can choose exactly the holiday you desire. There are also endless activities for every taste, onboard and ashore.

Adventure

You define what adventure is to you! Ice climbing in Alaska, surfing in Hawaii, exploring unique wildlife in the Galapagos, shopping till your drop in Thailand, or finding the very best South Pacific beach- you names it, you€ll find it.

Togetherness

There€s no better way to travel in large groups of friends and family than a cruise. You can dine at the same restaurants onboard; enjoy a Broadway-style show, play sport and so much more. Best of all, there really is something for everyone, be it adults, kids or couples.

Catalina Weddings, The Island of Romance is Just an Hour Away!

When l first made the decision that the LA wedding I had been planning just wasn't fitting the quaint "dream wedding" picture that my fiancé and I had been picturing in our minds, I decided to start the process all over. We wanted something close, but just far enough away so that our family and closest friends could feel that they were getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Something reasonably priced, yet sweet, classy, romantic and special.

We had gone for a weekend to Catalina Island the year before and had a an amazing and romantic time. So, I started researching Catalina Island weddings to see what the island had to offer. The more I found out, the more it sounded perfect and I began pouring my heart into the idea of a Catalina wedding. The more I discovered, the more Catalina Island felt like it might be the right decision for us, and for our families. Even though the island is just a short trip on a Catalina ferry, It feels like a world away from busy Los Angeles.

Here are the highlights of my findings - I will try to leave out the less exciting details- so you don't have to make all the phone calls, emails, and spend the countless hours researching that I did. When you add it all up, a Catalina Wedding has a lot going for it, and is relatively easy to plan, with all of the infrastructure and services already in place.

First of all, there are quite a few different variations for Catalina Island Weddings. You can purchase basic wedding packages starting at 225.00! Not bad I must say. Considering the small size of Avalon (Catalina's commercialized part) I was surprised to learn of venues, like the Catalina Casino, that cater to up to 1000 people! Our wedding will be a much smaller venue, so far it looks like a 63 headcount.

Even the transportation to Catalina can be romantic. You can cross the channel via one of the Catalina Island Ferry companies like the Catalina Flyer - out of Marina Del Rey, or Catalina Express, leaving from Long beach and San Pedro. My fiancé have decided to go in style with Island Express Helicopters, which he has always wanted to so, and luckily the helicopter trip to Catalina Island is very reasonably priced. Expect to pay anywhere for $60 on one of the Catalina ferries, or in the $200 range/per passenger if you do the trip via helicopter.

There are private beaches that are frequently used for weddings in Avalon. The idea that I absolutely loved was this; there is no sunset in Avalon, only a sunrise... and a magnificent one at that. So, I'm thinking a morning wedding. Yes, your guests will have to get up a little early - we will have everybody travel to Catalina on a Friday and have a fun night of dinner and drinks at one of the more casual, lively waterfront restaurants - and then after the ceremony we will have a large selection of activities arranged for our guests throughout the day. So me that looked especially perfect were, Catalina Adventure Tours (if you don't have time to go check this out yourself, look them up! your guest will have a ball!) Catalina Snorkel and Scuba Adventures, Ocean Sports, Para sailing (for the really brave ones!), Catalina Kayak adventures (my future in-laws loved this idea!) and the Catalina Island Golf Course (the first golf course in California). Now these examples are the more pricey options. Again, whether you choose to cover costs of these activities or not is entirely up to you and your budget. The other wonderful thing about Catalina is that there are many inexpensive activities as well like nature hikes, botanical garden tours, Wrigley Estate tours, Casino Theatre first run movie nights, bike riding, and more.

The town of Avalon on Catalina Island offers several options for your wedding reception. The Landing is at the top of our list right now, but we also considered the Catalina Country club and Armstrong Seafood. Casino Descano Beach Country Club is another popular wedding venue that many people have written excellent reviews for. Avalon Magical Melodies & Weddings offer wedding planning help and access to all of the services that are required to execute a successful Catalina Wedding. Photographers and videographers are also available on the Island, however, we are lucky enough to have enlisted our friend who is an accomplished LA photographer, who has kindly offered his services for the day.

So, after checking out all of our options, we are finally settling into the idea of a Catalina Island Wedding as our final decision. The prices, the venues - including our secluded beach wedding destination, and the wide range of activities for guests, have made us feel confident that this will be a wedding everyone will love and remember, especially us. Planning the event has been a breeze, and with just four months to go until the big day, we already can't wait to get on the helicopter and fly away!

Catalina Honeymoons Await on the Island of Romance!

Planning my honeymoon had become a daunting task. My fiancé and I wanted affordable luxury, an exotic but accessible location, and a timeless romantic setting all in one. We had spent a fortune on our wedding (sound familiar?) and wanted to locate the lovely, fun, romantic places that would accommodate, well... cheap honeymoons. After considering all kinds of far away, and financially far out of reach island honeymoon destinations, I stumbled across the beautiful, historic, laid back Santa Catalina Island. Just an hour away from the southern California mainland on any one of the Catalina ferries, the aptly named "Island of romance" began to capture my imagination, and after a little investigating, we were soon settled on a Catalina honeymoon.

After considering each of the Catalina resorts, I decided on the Catalina Canyon, a beautiful Catalina resort and spa, which is modern and up to date with all of the amenities that honeymooners could ask for. They have a great restaurant and bar, complimentary shuttles that take you to and from the nearby Catalina ferry terminal, which is just a few minutes by shuttle into town. Their spa has registered massage therapists, saunas, facials and a beautiful pool and poolside... I was pleased. I told them on the phone that I would be on my honeymoon and asked for any honeymoon travel deals and the woman immediately changed my rate and was very fantastic to deal with. I found the prices extremely reasonable. I will add that at all the places I checked out there was a two-day minimum stay

Although we settled on the Catalina Canyon hotel, there were other amazing Catalina hotels that we easily could have chosen. The best Catalina luxury hotel would probably be Catalina's newest hotel, the Avalon Hotel. A very romantic Catalina luxury hotel would be the Inn on Mt. Ada. Stunning views of Avalon Bay and beautiful grounds make the Mt. Ada hotel ideal for a Catalina honeymoon. If you 're watching your budget, a great hotel (in keeping with the cheap honeymoons theme) would be the Hermosa Hotel. It may not be the ideal romantic type, but rooms start as low as fifty dollars a night! Remember, in all of these places ask for any honeymoon travel deals or all inclusive vacation honeymoon travel deals, when you make your reservations... the hotel manager will most certainly cut you a deal!

There are tons of romantic activities on Catalina Island. You can rent scuba equipment or snorkel in Lovers Cove (yes, that's really what it's called), rent bikes, or just go for a hike. Wildlife abounds all over and around beautiful Catalina Island, including Bison, which were brought in for a movie many years ago and now roam wild, deer, birds, sea lions, dolphins, whales, myriad fish, including of course California's state fish, the striking bright orange Girabaldi. There are extremely affordable Catalina island tours which for many, are the best way to see t he abundant marine life, bison herds, whales and dolphins and historic buildings like the Wrigley estate and Catalina Casino.

Tours of the 1929 Catalina Casino are $15 and it's a great way to learn about Catalina Island's rich history. I should mention that this casino is not the gambling kind (which will only disappoint some) but instead is known for its elegant Art Deco ballroom and movie theater, which plays first run movies as well as silent movies from the past. The building is truly an architectural wonder, and nowadays is available for full service weddings, events, and is home to many events like the Catalina Island Jazz Dance festival, Valentine's Day Sweetheart Dance, New Years celebrations and events throughout the year.

Our Catalina resort, the Catalina Canyon, has its own restaurant that offers a fantastic menu, but with so many amazing Catalina restaurants to choose from, we decided not to make reservations and just play it by ear on t he day. The Pancake Cottage and Sally's Waffle Shop are Catalina's most famous breakfast restaurants, featuring decadent honeymoon worthy breakfast fare. Lunchtime you can check out The Busy Bee (right on the water!) and the Buffalo Nickel, which is just a short ten-minute shuttle (free service to the restaurant!) south of Avalon, where the locals go for authentic Mexican food. Ask your Catalina resort staff where they eat, and they will likely tell you "The Buffalo Nickel." For dinner, seafood lovers must visit Armstrong Seafood. Known as the islands premier seafood establishment, they masterfully prepare lobster, shrimp, fish of all types and offer a full service bar. Villa Portofino is casual but elegant and also has great reviews for its cuisine, with famous chefs often behind the scenes in the kitchen. The Catalina Country Club has a beautiful dining room with an outdoor patio and although it is a private country club, it is opened to the public for lunch and dinner. Th ey serve California cuisine and in the summer, jazz bands liven things up as part of the Catalina Jazz Festival.

A Catalina honeymoon not only fits the budgets of those in search of cheap honeymoons, but also offers an amazing range of Catalina Island tours, Catalina luxury hotels that won't break the bank, and is truly a romantic destination for newlyweds in search of a compromise between exotic and affordable.
